The nomination process for the RepCo elections is now open! You can stand as an independent member or on the list of an electoral alliance. Electoral alliances will be listed on the LTKY website as they are announced.

You can stand as a candidate by filling in the form on the website. Electoral alliances are also set up in the same way. Candidate registration closes on Sunday 12.10.

How to run as a candidate?

You can run as a member of an electoral alliance or as an independent candidate. To run for office, please fill out the form on LTKY’s website, providing your contact details and, if applicable, the name of your electoral alliance.

Please ask the contact person for your electoral alliance for permission to stand as a candidate for that alliance before filling in the form.

Electoral alliances and rings

Electoral alliances function in the same way as parties in municipal elections. It is advantageous to belong to an electoral alliance, as the candidates in the alliance also benefit from each other’s votes. When calculating the final results, the members of the alliance are ranked according to the number of personal votes they have received, after which the candidate with the most votes in the electoral alliance is given the total number of votes for the electoral alliance as their final reference number, the second candidate is given half of that number, the third candidate one third, and so on. A maximum of 27 people can belong to one electoral alliance.

Electoral alliances can form electoral rings together. In this case, the votes are collected in a collective pool for the alliance, in the same way as in the case mentioned above.

Election alliances and rings must be registered using the forms in order to be official.
