HallOpEd’s, ie student representatives of the administration

According to the rules of procedure of Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology LUT and the rules of other stakeholders, each administrative body of the university and stakeholders has a student representative elected by the student union. The Student Union has student representatives of the administration, or HallOpEd, on all three Academic Councils and separate units such as the library and the Language Center advisory board. The Student Union also elects representatives to the administrative bodies of its stakeholders, such as FSHS and LOAS.

HallOpEd activities provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the decision-making of the university and other stakeholders, to influence local issues in the daily lives of students, and to provide invaluable experience in societal activities. For more information on acting as HallOpEd, see the HallOpEd guide.

The student representatives are elected to the decision-making bodies by the Student Union Representative Council, and to the informal bodies by the Student Union Board.

Open HallOpEd places are announced on LTKY’s website and in website news. NOTE! The applications are filled either on Google Forms or directly to email.

If you have any questions about the activities of the various administrative bodies or are interested in working as HallOpEd yourself, please feel free to contact our advocacy expert.
