The application for next year’s best team, i.e. LTKY’s board 2025, is now open! The application is open from Mon 11.11. to Sun 24.11.2024.
LTKY’s board offers a unique opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary cooperation, to influence our entire community and to be involved in activities and influence at the national level, e.g. with other student unions. Experience in board activities is not necessarily necessary, because the eagerness to do things for the common good and the desire to learn new things will go a long way! During the board year, you get to be part of different networks, develop in different areas and bring your own ideas to show to a large audience.
A total of 8 board members are being applied for the board, whose main tasks include vice presidency, communication, social policy, higher education policy, events and culture in lappeen Rannat. In Lahti, the board members are responsible for, e.g., events, culture, member services, advocacy and well-being on the Lahti campus. In Lahti, the division of tasks will take shape according to the wishes of possible new board members.
You will be able to hear more about board positions in Lappeenranta on Tuesday 19.11. at 14-16 in Yo-Studio on the upper floor of student union building, and in Lahti on Thursday 21.11. at 16-18 in Slounge. In addition, this year’s board members will talk about their positions in Instagram stories (@ltky_insta) during this and next week. The board presentations can then be found saved in the “Pestiesittelyt” section of the profile highlights. You can also ask us questions related to board activities by message or come and ask them on site.
You can apply for the board by sending a free-form application to LTKY’s Executive Director Arttu Kaukinen to the address [email protected] with the title “Board application”. Please send your application no later than Sunday 24.11.2024 at 23.59. The panel of board applicants will be held on Monday 25.11.2024 at 16-18. The room for the panel will be announced later. Applicants are also interviewed separately by the former of the board. The new board will be elected at the representative council meeting on Tuesday 3.12.2024. You can still nominate yourself until the representative council meeting, but in that case, the former of the board might not have time to interview you.
