Position: members and deputy members
Term of office starts: 1.1.2025
Term of office ends: 31.12.2026
Organization: LUT Business School (LBS), LUT School of Engineering Sciences (LENS), LUT School of Energy Systems (LES)
The Academic Council e.g. decides on the curricula of the academic unit, makes proposals for the filling of the posts of the unit and issues dissertation permits. The Academic Council meets about once a month during the academic year, so time is spent including preparation for meetings, including 5-10 hours per month, depending on the month. Meetings are promised a meeting fee and valuable experience in, for example, meeting behavior and negotiation.
Eligible for the position are students of LBS, LENS or LES who are not employed by the university for more than 50% of the working time of that specific group of workers.

Organization: LUT University
University collegiate body, e.g. decides on the number of board members and the length of their terms of office, elects the university’s internal representatives to the board and elects the university’s auditors. The university collegium has 4 regular members, each of whom has its own deputy member. The term of office of the collegiate body is two years. A meeting fee and experience in influencing decision-making are promised for the meetings.
Eligible for the position are students of LUT university who are LTKY members and who are not employed by the university for more than 50% of the working time of that specific group of workers.
