Aalef is a company owned collectively by all Skinnarila students. Its mission is to offer its owners the best service, healthy and delicious food, as well as fun activities and events – in short, an excellent customer-ownership experience. Aalef Oy operates two restaurants, a kiosk, and a catering service.
The Student Union of LUT University (LTKY) is now looking for two student board members to join Aalef’s board for a one-year term, starting from Aalef’s general meeting in the end of May/start of June. Student members are full members of the board, whose job is to represent student voices in Aalef’s leadership and to ensure Aalef’s message reaches its owners.
The two roles are divided as follows:
One student member will be primarily responsible for Aalef’s own events and Aalef’s participation in, for example, LTKY events where it makes sense. The other student member will focus on communications. The idea is for Aalef to actively communicate about itself and its activities through channels that reach its owners.
This role requires commitment but won’t take an unreasonable amount of your time – it can be managed alongside, for example, guild responsibilities.

- Fluent Finnish and English
Considered a plus:
- Experience in organizing events (event role)
- Experience in communications (communications role)
