Where do I collect my cap?
- Bachelor’s degree freshers can collect theirs from the Student Union building lobby on vappu eve 30.4. after baptism at 15-17, if their fresher points and baptism have been completed. In the absence of either, the cap can be collected at the LTKY office after Floora day 13.5. Please take your ID with you.
- Master’s degree freshers can collect their cap from the Student Union building lobby on vappu eve 30.4. after baptism at 15-17, if the Master’s degree fresher points and baptism have been completed. In the absence of either, the cap can be collected at the LTKY office after the Floora day 13.5. Please take your ID with you.
- Masters degree freshers coming from outside Lappeenranta can collect their cap from the Student Union building lobby on vappu eve 30.4. after baptism at 15-17, if baptism has been completed. Otherwise, you can collect your cap at the LTKY office after the Floora day 13.5. Please take your ID with you.
- Older degree students can collect their caps from LTKY office (during opening hours) before vappu. The caps will arrive approximately a week before May Day. Please take your ID with you when you collect your cap.
- Caps can be collected any day after Floora day.
- The pick up locations cannot be changed. If you chose Lappeenranta as a pick up location, your cap can only be picked up from Lappeenranta.
When can I put the cap on?
- Older degree students can put the cap on on Wappu Eve at 12:00 after the student union has capped the statue.
- Teekkari freshers can put the cap on at midnight, after Teekarihymni, if they have completed the baptism.
- In the absence of baptism or fresher points, freshers can put the cap on on Floora day 13.5.
- The cap may be worn until the cap-lowering ceremony in September. The right to wear the cap is regulated in the LTKY rules of insignia.

Lahti
Where do I collect the cap?
- Bachelor’s and Master’s freshers can pick up their caps on May Day Eve, April 30th, after the baptism at Restaurant Nosturi from 18:00 onwards. You will receive your cap if you have attended the teekkari baptism and completed the mandatory Bachelor Fresher Points. Please bring your ID.
- If you can’t attend the baptism or miss fresher points, you can collect the cap from LTKY’s office on Floora day 13.5. and after.
- Older degree students can collect their caps from LTKY office (during opening hours) before vappu, after baptism from Nosturi or during the Wappu picnic* between 12-15. Please take your ID with you when you collect your cap. The caps will arrive approximately a week before May Day.
- *If you wish to collect your cap during the wappu picnic, please send an email to [email protected] by Sun 27.4. Only then will you get your cap during the picnic.
- The pick up location cannot be changed. If you chose Lahti as a pick up location, your cap can only be picked up from Lahti.
