Are you interested in international collaboration, student engagement, and representing LUT

University at a European level? LTKY is looking for students to join the EULiST Student Board and help strengthen the connection between LUT students and the EULiST Alliance. 

What is EULiST?

EULiST (European Universities Linking Society and Technology) is a European alliance of 11 universities working together to create innovative opportunities in education, research, and international cooperation. The EULiST Student Board represents students across the alliance and ensures that student perspectives are included in EULiST activities and decision-making.

What will you do?

As a Student Board Member, you will:

  • Represent LUT students in the EULiST Student Board.
  • Act as an ambassador for EULiST within the LUT student community.
  • Promote EULiST opportunities, events, and initiatives to fellow students.
  • Collaborate with the LUT EULiST team, LTKY, and student representatives from partner universities.
  • Participate in meetings, projects, and working groups.
  • Gather student feedback and bring student perspectives to alliance discussions.

This role is based on teamwork and collaboration. Student Board Members work closely with LUT and the EULiST network. The Student Board’s term is one year and it begins in January of 2027.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for students who are:

  • Enrolled at LUT University and expected to continue their studies until at least 2028.
  • Reliable, responsible, and committed to the role.
  • Active in the student community or motivated to engage fellow students.
  • Interested in international cooperation and student representation.
  • Comfortable communicating in English, the working language of EULiST.
  • Strong team players who enjoy collaborating with people from different backgrounds.
  • Experience in student organizations, student representation, tutoring, Erasmus+, ESN, international activities, project work, event organization, or similar initiatives is considered an advantage.

Time Commitment

The role requires approximately 10 hours per month on average and is intended to complement your studies. We are looking for students who can actively commit to the position, therefore it may not be suitable for applicants with a full-time job alongside their studies.

The position includes hourly compensation through LUT University. Further details will be provided during the interview process. Travel expenses related to approved EULiST activities will be covered in accordance with LUT University guidelines.

In your motivation letter, tell us why you are interested in the role and how you would help engage LUT students with EULiST opportunities. Please note that the Student Union is a public law entity and therefore applications and HallOpEd decisions are public documents.

After the application period, you may be invited to an interview, which can be held on either of the campuses and remotely if necessary. Interviews will be conducted in English. Interviews will be held on weeks 45 and 46. The interviewers will form a proposal that will be the basis of LTKY Board’s decision in November or December.
