Climate Puzzle -workshop

Have you already calculated your own carbon footprint? Do you know how to make it smaller?
Welcome to a workshop where, by playing the Climate Puzzle, you will achieve a low-carbon life one piece at a time!
The counter helps you identify where your everyday emissions come from. The aim of the workshop is to find the steps you can take to achieve a 2.5-tonne carbon footprint by 2030, in line with the Paris Climate Agreement’s 1.5 degree warming target.

Workshops will be held:
On the Lappeenranta campus Tue 19.4 from 9.15-10.45 (in the Gallery lobby) (

LUT and LAB staff and students are welcome to attend the workshop. Students will receive a certificate of participation if they wish.
One workshop can accommodate 10 people. Registration for Lappeenranta workshops no later than 14.4.!

Survivor Sauna

On 7.4. at 14.00 LUTES is hosting Survivor Sauna In Vierula!

This event is open to all students, that wants to enjoy free food and drinks and sauna or even just a cool spot to chill with some friends!
The dress code if overalls and there will be event badges given to the first 100 people to arrive, so get there fast!

The city of Lappeenranta

Lappeenranta Spring Market at Kauppatori from April 7th to 8th

The spring market will be held at Kauppatori from April 7th to 8th. The market is open on Thursday from 7 am to 6 pm and on Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. There are about 60 different sellers on the market. There are traditional market products such as bagels, clothes and household goods for sale. If the weather is good, balloon vendors will also arrive.

  • Wednesday 13.4. 10-12 am: Effective job hunting tools (CVs, application letters, LinkedIn etc.)

Women in Business Scholarship

The Zonta Club in Lappeenranta has decided to award a 300-euro scholarship to a young woman who is studying a bachelor’s degree in economics.
We hope to receive applications by May 15th, 2022. Fill in the application form in English here, it requires two recommendations.
Our club will continue to submit the application of the best applicant to compete for Zonta International’s international $ 5,000 scholarship, which will be distributed in a total of 37. More information about the international scholarship program can be found on the website

The 3rd Edition of Loop Q PRIZE student Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning competition
