Traditional Freshman baptism in Lappeenranta Harbour will take place on Sunday 29.8. at 12 pm. All the freshmen will be baptised in the lake Saimaa, after which they will be given the title of Teekkari or Kylteri. The baptism starts at 12 pm, when the first ones slide to Saimaa. The baptism happens by guilds in the following order. The second guild starts right after the previous is done, so be there early! The baptism takes place in the harbour in the boat landing place (when arriving from city centre, go past the sand castle). The Baptism will be also livestreamed.
You will need overalls, freshman cap, towel and dry clothes.

– Take care of safety distances to other people. The general guideline is to keep a distance of 1.5-2 meters.
– Avoid unnecessary physical contact with others.
– Do not share the mouth of the bottle with others.
