The Emotional Expert is a comedy about modern working life. Having spent a long career in expert work, Reetta returns from her sick leave and finds that sharing emotional experiences is better than working as an expert.

Independence day torch convoy

LTKY’s traditional torchlight convoy of independence day is held on Finland’s independence day 6.12. The procession starts at 18:00 from the central marketplace and ends in a memorial celebration at the soldier’s graveyard. So join us and come to celebrate Finland’s independence in this traditional and graceful event.

A bus to the event leaves at 17:00 from the university. The bus leaves back to the university after the convoy.

LTKY’s new board and representative council presidium

In representative council meeting on December 2nd, 2019 the new members of representative council presidium are:

Chairman of the representative council: Eemeli Kettunen (GT)

First Vice Chairman: Pia Etelävuori (NEON)

Second Vice Chairman: Anna Nikitina (Put In)

Anna Hirsimäki was chosen as a chairman of the board of 2020 and other members of the board are Anniina Pokki, Henna Pekkala, Iita Hinkkanen, Kuisma Närhi, Meerimaria Ketokulta and Vili Seppälä.

Membership service survey

Answer to the Student Union’s member service survey!
The meaning of the survey is to collect your opinions on the student union and services on campus area. It takes approximately 10 minutes to answer. In case you want to participate in a draw in which you can win prizes, leave your contact information after the survey.  Your information will not be connected to the actual survey. Neither will your information be used in marketing purposes or be published anywhere.

Please leave your answers by 31.12. By answering you can participate in a draw to win LUT-sweatshirts.

Local traffic customer survey

The survey gives citizens the opportunity to give feedback on the functioning of local transport, the reforms that have been made and, above all, to contribute to the further development of local transport. Many of the reforms already implemented have been based on feedback from previous surveys.

Three 30-day Waltti Lappeenranta season tickets or equivalent will be drawn among all those who responded to the survey and left their contact details.

The survey is intended for all Lappeenranta residents and residents of Lappeenranta, whether they use public transport or not.

Tutoring secretary position open!

We are looking for a tutoring secretary from January 2nd to October 31st.

You have to speak and write fluent Finnish and English to apply. If you speak fluent finnish, you can read more about the position from here.

DuuniDay 2020

DuuniDay is the largest one-day recruitment fair in Lappeenranta. Contact and recruitment event DuuniDay, to be organized already for the 24th time in Lappeenranta, brings together students of Skinnarila and companies looking for future talents.

When and where?
DuuniDay takes place on 28 January, 2020 at 10 am – 3 pm at LUT University. You will find the company stands at main lobby, 2nd floor and 3rd floor.

There will be over 100 companies in the event!

DuuniDay also includes side program related to job hunt.  More information will be released in this Facebook-event, so be sure to join the event!

Note that companies will be posting introductions and open positions to event page.

This event is intended for LUT and LAB students. Free entrance!

DuuniDay 2020 team

Want to be part of LUT’s biggest recruiting event of the year? Maybe create connections to potential employers while making some extra cash? Send us an application and join our DuuniDay team.
We need LUT and Saimia students to help us with few different tasks before, during and after the event, for example company guides, announcer and building the event area.

DuuniDay will be organized on 28.1.2020 at 10-15. The team will be working in shifts. Addition to that you have to be present at a briefing on Thursday 15.1.2020 at 9-11.
Positions: Announcer, company guide (multiple positions), building team (multiple positions)
