Independence day guard of honor

Lappeenranta organizes a guard of honor for The Heroes Cemetery on independence day 6.12.2019. You have to be Finnish citizen to participate.

Takuusäätiö and Marttalitto organizes a course on 29.10.2019, where you can learn how to manage money usage and cook with budget. The course will be held in finnish.

Teekkari cap order

The most glorious days to be a freshman approaches when Wappu (first of May) draws closer. Now is the time to order your shining white teekkari cap so it’s ready when the time comes! Teekkari cap costs 126€ for freshmen and 145€ for older tech students. The bill will come in email at the beginning of March. Deadline for this first round of orders is 1.12.2019. Caps ordered after that date will cost more! Answers to questions and more information from Virpi Partti at LTKY’s office, by phone 045 261 2670 or by email toimistosihteeri@ltky.fi.

You can order your cap trough this link and try them on at the LTKY offices.

MAKE NOTE! LUT Highway -students may only order their caps after being admitted in as degree students.

Representative Council election

The pre-election has started! If you don’t know yet who to vote for, go to the LTKY website to fill the voting aid and find the right candidate for you. All the candidates and the voting aid can be found here. Remember to vote !!!

YTHS local board

YTHS  is searching for three members to local board. You have to speak fluent Finnish and the job lasts for two years. Application time is from 25th of September to 29th of November.

Lappeenranta student theater ActI organizes a “get-to-know” evening

Lappeenranta student theater ActI organizes a “get-to-know” evening on Thursday, 31.10. at 17~19 in Kellari (Student union house’s Basement, Laserkatu 10).
It’s an awesome opportunity to see what this hobby has to offer: we’ll also try making a little play by ourselves! There’s some snacks offered, and of course somewhat good company ;) Be there or be a bream!*

SISU system testing

We are looking for students to participate in SISU usability testing. Participants in the test do not need to have previous experience with SISU, but we would like to have participants that have studied at least two years. Testing will be held at the University on Wednesday 20.11. from 1 pm to 4 pm. Testing is carried out one tester at a time and it is advisable to reserve approximately 0.5-1 hours for testing. Registration is done by e-mail: seija.kouvo@lut.fi. Registration by  8.11.
