Well-being committee organizes The Well-being Week to the staff and students of the campus during week 11 (15.-17.10.). The biggest events during The Well-being Week are The Well-being Expo on Tuesday 15.3. and Sports Night by Parru ry on Wednesday 16.3..

The week’s program is highlighted below. A more specific description of the program the presenters will be given closer to the week.

Events on The Sports and Well-being Week:

 

Tuesday:
Well-being Expo at the University Main LObby from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The expo will have many representatives of various different ways to upkeep well-being,  including:

  • sports
  • hobbies
  • health metering
  • mental well-being
  • dietary specialists
  • beauty and supplements

Wednesday:
The traditional sports night in the Huhtiniemi sports center.

Once more, we want to offer students an opportunity to try different kinds of exercise methods for a really cheap price (5 €)! Parru ry & Huhtari Sports Center invite you to come and try what Huhtari has to offer. There will be gym, tennis, table tennis, squash and badminton available (also equipment if needed) and of course different forms of group exercises.

Tickets are still available during the Hyvinvointimessut -event on Tuesday 15th of March 10am-2pm in the University Main Lobby.

Friday:

Saimia students off InBody-measurments on Friday!

Come get a body composition measurement done! The measurement is held in class A2046 and costs 5€ cash. The measurement will tell you, among other things,  the muscle and body fat percentages, information on your muscle balance,, level of body hydration and rate of basic metabolism. Book a time via this link.

How to prepare for the measurements:

In order to obtain precise and correct data, we recommend you prepare for the measurements as follows:

  • 3-5 hours should have passed from your previous meal. If your booking in the morning, don’t eat before the measurement.
  • Don’t excercise for 12 hours prior to the measurement
  • Don’t consume alcohol for 24 hours prior to the measurement
  • Ensure an empty bladder before the measurements (go to WC)
